CPI Volunteers at HCOC Packaging Solutions

The HC Opportunity Center provides individuals with various disabilities vocational job training, socialization, and the opportunity for competitive employment. Crane is committed to helping individuals with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities break down employment barriers and we take action to support them through active community service..

In early 2023, Crane Payment Innovation associates proudly volunteered to work alongside HCOC’s dedicated labor force to deliver specialized packaging solutions. Spending the day together, we worked alongside their workers to assemble packaging kits and were able to participate in their Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl pep rally, that they’d been preparing for all week!

Molly Dugan, Director, Strategic Marketing at Crane Payment Innovations describes the valuable experience in her own words.

“Working with the team at HCOC was such a rewarding experience, not only because we got to work side by side with their talented group, but because we were able to connect with and support our community in a unique way. Rather than spend a Friday afternoon in the office with our colleagues, we were able to get together outside of work to make a difference to this wonderful organization and connect with a passionate, friendly and creative group of individuals. After just one day, I’ve built relationships with the workers and their leadership, and have already made plans to return with my family to continue supporting this wonderful organization.”

Joseph Mitton, Director of Marketing Communications at Crane Payment Innovations also attended and shared his experience as well:

“It was a pleasure to be able to spend several hours at the HC Opportunity Center assisting in the skill development center. Not only was it great to help support this local organization, it was fun to get to know the special needs clients who work there- and a great reminder of the impact that volunteer work can have.”
