The mission of The Children’s Haven is to promote the health and happiness of children impacted by abuse. At Crane, we are committed to supporting organizations that build successful children through programs that increase their safety and improve their educational, social, and emotional functioning.

Throughout 2022 the Alpharetta, Georgia and Nashua, New Hampshire Crane Currency sites decorated a total of 97 reusable bags to The Children’s Haven Care Givers Closet. Children, who sometimes become displaced into foster care, are sometimes moved in emergency situations and don’t have the opportunity to grab personal items, resulting in having to place items in plastic disposable bags, much like ones we get from grocers.

The Children’s Haven came up with the idea to give children a less traumatic experience and requested help from the community to decorate reusable canvas bags with fun and encouraging words for children ages 0-17. This program benefits foster children (families) of Cherokee county and Crane Currency associates were honored to donate time to support.
