Mr. Stroup is an Operating Advisor at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, a global private equity firm that invests in and builds businesses. From 2005 to 2020, Mr. Stroup was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Belden Inc, a global leader in signal transmission security solutions. From 2016 to 2020 he was also Chairman of the Belden Board of Directors and from 2020 to 2021, Executive Chairman.

Prior to joining Belden in 2005, Mr. Stroup was employed by Danaher Corporation. At Danaher, Mr. Stroup initially served as Vice President, Business Development. He was promoted to President of a division of Danaher’s Motion Group and later to Group Executive of the Motion Group. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Marketing and General Manager with Scientific Technologies Inc.

Mr. Stroup joined the Crane Company board in 2020 where he is also director. Additionally, Mr. Stroup is a director on the board of Zurn Elkay Water Solutions since 2008.

Mr. Stroup is the Chairman of the Crane NXT Board of Directors and Chair of the Executive Committee.
